The living room of this Palm Springs vacation home opens up to the outdoor pool area. The living room also features two sitting areas, easy access to the outdoors, a 46" flat screen television with a DVD player, and a cozy fireplace.

The home is also equipped with high-speed wireless Internet access and unlimited U.S. long distance phone calls.

The kitchen is well appointed with flatware and other kitchen essentials, and also boasts modern appliances. There's abundant workspace to prepare gourmet meals for your family and guests on the tile counter tops.

Summer Fun

"This home was amazing! The pictures online looked great, but the house itself was even better in person! Very nicely decorated inside with 50's style couches and unique artwork. It was very spacious and was able to accommodate our large group very comfortably. Overall, it was awesome!!! This house was fully stocked with just about everything you could think of (linens, utensils, cookware, washer/dryer, etc). We probably could have brought this ourselves had we known but the only recommendations I would make would be to have a box of aluminum foil, saran wrap, zip-lock bags, and some extra paper towels. Very minor details but aside from that, no complaints! The garage door opener did not work when we first arrived, so I called the property manager and they said they would send someone out within the hour. The repairman was there within 15 minutes of the call, was very friendly and nice, fixed the problem in 5 minutes, and left. We were very impressed by the speedy response and quick fix! "

Weekend Retreat in Palm Springs

"The home was warm and inviting. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The house was clean and well taken care of. Our annual girls getaway was a huge success. We were up late watching movies and playing cards after a long day of swimming. It would have been nice to have an earlier check in time without having to pay a fee. The garage was a nice touch, but the garage door opener didn't work. Wonderful service. Everyone was very polite and willing to help. "

Vacation Ready

"This Palm Springs vacation rental was just as advertised and "vacation ready". You could simply check in and enjoy. Unlike so many vacation homes this house was conveniently stocked with necessary household items: hand soap, garbage bags, cleaners etc. All the staff at Vacation Palm Springs was great. "

Peaceful, Quiet Neighborhood; Spacious!

"Having a CD and iPod player would be a nice addition. The screen door external handle should be fixed. The shower fixture in the hallway bathroom is broken. The patio clock needs new batteries. Note from property management team: Thank you for bringing these items to our attention, these items are being repaired Reservations team was excellent as always!! The property managers are excellent - every time - homes are always clean and tidy; also very subtle reminder about noise. We are always very quiet here, especially when swimming or sitting outside. "

Have Rented It Three Times

Very comfortable and well kept except the time when someone forgot to pay the telephone/Internet connection fee and we had to go to Palm Desert late at night to use the internet Nate is always the best. The Real Palm Springs

"We have just spent two months enjoying the Oscar Mayer house. Emphasis on the word 'enjoy'. This is the real Palm Springs we've been looking for but haven't found until now. We'll be back for longer next year! This mid twentieth century home has been largely updated to the best of this century. In fact, it looks like an ad for Andersen Doors and Windows. Here's some of what's great about this house: it's roomy feeling, it's design which allows for plenty of sun and shade around the pool, it's location and fine neighbors, it's quiet and convenient location and that wall of glass windows and doors that look out on the pool from the living space. What a perfect place to have a dinner party, either indoors or outside using the astounding grill. A word about this as a party house. If you want to stay up late and turn up the boom box do yourself a favor and rent someplace else. This is a real neighborhood with year round working neighbors who don't and shouldn't tolerate that. If you want to relax this is your place. I guess no house is absolutely perfect, so here are some thoughts on how OM could be even better (which I suspect the home owners know about and are steadily working on). The electrical system is outdated. The home owners have made a most helpful illustrated book that will tell you what you need to know about that. Except for the microwave which can't be used at the same time as the toaster or coffee maker. But the circuit breaker isn't far away. The showers should have mats and grab bars for safety, and some instructions for heating the pool would be a good idea. Since there are four TV sets it would be nice if the Direct TV had access to LA stations and maybe HBO. It's mostly infomercials, the local Palm Springs stations and a clunky assortment of other junk, trash and blather. While there's a huge number of beach towels, there's a shortage of hand towels and face cloths. I think we had contact with everybody at Vacation Palm Springs. Portia helped us find Oscar Mayer house last year and endless thanks to her for that. All the guys 'in the field' the property managers as they are called responded to every call as if they were just around the corner. Thanks guys. And big thanks to the homeowners who gave the okay for the phones and the chest of drawers in the king bedroom and who agreed to our return in 2012. "

Comfortable

"Very comfortable home with great pool. Extremely private pool area; exactly what one wants when renting a home with a pool in Palm Springs. The home is spacious and is located in one of the better areas in Palm Springs. The home has not been renovated into one of the showcase rentals but is charming because it feels like a real home. We have stayed in this area of Palm Springs, previously, and because of the age of the homes, many of the homes are quirky. For example, it is common for the electrical outlets and light switches to not work. Nonetheless, there is no excuse for burned out light bulbs or the lack of complete instructions on locating the switches that do work, or having a swimming pool that is too acidic and having to instruct the pool man to test the pool chemicals. While this home did come with a "manual" that was better than most of the rentals, it was incomplete. For example, the instructions on lighting the outdoor grill did not include how to get close enough to the burner to actually light the burner which is not reachable from the top of the grill. Also, the Internet connection was not working because the service had been disconnected due to nonpayment which forced us to make a very late night run to Kinkos in Palm Desert. Since this is an older property, it does require more attention from either the owners or Vacation Palm Springs to ensure that the home is fully functional. Nate's knowledge of the properties is invaluable in helping to select a rental. All members of the reservation team should make more of an effort to learn about the properties since selecting the right property, and most are fairly expensive, is the difference between a great vacation and a disappointing one. Always very helpful service and I have rented from Vacation Palm Springs for probably a dozen times or more. "

Beautiful Home Cranky Neighbors

"Gorgeous house, excellent amenities and very comfortable beds, but with neighbors that hate that this is a rental house. I would recommend this house. Did everything online and had no need to contact property managers during our stay. Everything was so easy. I would recommend changing the signs in the house about outdoor quiet time starting at (because of sensitive neighbors) 4:30-5 pm (because of sensitive neighbors by this house) rather than 9 pm due to city ordinance. "

Great, and Confortable.

Clean, Quiet and Accommodating

"The house was very clean and contained everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. It was also wonderful to be in a neighborhood that was so quiet and peaceful. Relaxed & Carefree Vacation in Palm Springs

"Terrific floor plan. Everyone could stay in the house and not hear the others. The central living area is divided into 3 areas: dining room, TV room and conversational fireplace space. This is a very welcoming place that immediately made me feel comfortable - it felt more like home than a rental property. Don't forget the sun screen. You will want to be outside the entire visit. But if you do overexpose, the pool area always has a beautiful covered area no matter the time of day. Service here at Vacation Palm Springs was nothing short of awesome. Every question was answered before it could be asked. The notebook at the house provided all the information we needed. The place was immaculately clean, everything worked the way it should - I called the office only to say "Thank You" for another wonderful visit to Palm Springs. A good friend of mine owns a small company - and she often rents 3-4 hotel rooms for her administrative staff to stay the weekend after a conference. After showing her this place, she wants to look into renting a property - it is much more conducive to a employee retreat. "

Happy, Confortable House!!!

"Me and my family we loved the property and cleanness as soon as we walked in. Everything aws excellent, only the next door neighbor is not a plesent person. My kids were unable to swim in the pool confortable, because the neighbors dogs were barking and they would come yeild on my kids. Even they called my kids to "shut up." Please talk to those neigbors, we were paying to have nice vacation not be called bad words. They were all helpfull. We had problem with air condition, it was not working first 24 hours when we were there, but scott called people to come and fix the air condition some how, it was working ok. "

Hot Dog Heaven

"Each bedroom had a bath and the house surrounded the pool. Lots of windows and a very private yard for the family. The grill was fantastic. The staff has always been excellent to deal with and the rental process is extremely easy. I can't think of anything that would improve the experience. Justin helped me with the reservations as he always has for the last six years. He helped me obtain extra days using the discount for the home for summer specials. He is a great help and excellent employee. "

Private, Quiet Home

"This was a lovely spacious home. Excellent kitchen facilities, thoughtfully laid out and with plenty of space throughout for everyone. The backyard and pool were quiet, not overlooked and thoroughly delightful. This is only a very minor point, but the lighting systems were a bit confusing and could have been explained more clearly (particulaly the patio/pool lights). More lighting needed on the front of the house. We only had one minor problem with uncollected garbage, but we spoke to Portia and this was dealt with immediately. I would recommend Vacation Palm Springs to anyone without hesitation. "

Fantastic!!

"The Oscar Mayer House was perfect for our needs. We had seven people stay at the house and the layout gave everyone the privacy they may have needed as well as brought everyone together socially in the center of the house with the pool as a backdrop. The house was very comfortable and accommodating for everyone. I would highly recommend using Vacation Palm Springs for anyone who is more interested in having a property to themselves and not staying in a hotel. We will use Vacation Palm Springs again next year during the Palm Springs Film Festival as well as for those getaway weekends in between. Fortunately we didn’t need to contact anyone during our stay, however prior to our arrival the staff was very professional, polite and accommodating, which was very much appreciated. "
