We'll Be Back!

"There was leaky faucet in the hall bathroom. Also, someone should look at the dishwasher, which is getting tired. It's our third time renting this house, a week each time. We love the clean, modern lines of the interior. The shade tree in the backyard is gorgeous and we've been spoiled by the salt water pool/spa. The location is relatively quiet, and we love the birds! On the downside, the kitchen/dining layout is cramped, the master suite is awkward, and the wear and tear is starting to show. Overall, this house is a great value. We'll be back. We've recommended Vacation Palm Springs and have invited 5 other families to share houses with over the years. Our pool heater crashed during the last two days of our stay, but Scott was very responsive and the pool guy showed up right away. Unfortunately, they weren't able to fix the problem because a part was not available. Other than the cold tub, I was happy with the service. "

Just Okay...but Good for Families

"We like going to Palm Springs for rest and relaxation so it is key that the accommodations are in excellent working condition. Would recommend visiting Taquitz Canyon for hiking, the Tram, checking out the Ace Hotel or Parker for a few meals and also checking out the main strip if they've never been before. Not sure if I would recommend property where we stayed (too many issues intruded on our short stay and it was not worth it). Likes: Liked the nice layout of the home and the updated furnishings. Each bedroom had no shared walls, were large with very comfortable beds, three of which opened out to the pool. Loved the pool/jacuzzi and the beautiful, lush landscaping. Loved the renovated kitchen. Dislikes: Home had no instructions. We had to call handyman upon arrival because things were not working correctly at first. Stove had a gas leak and could not be used during our Christmas visit. BBQ Grill was quirky and had to be turned on a certain way to make it work. Outdoor lights had gone off timer due to an outage and had to be reset, unbeknownst to us. Master bedroom sliding door was broken and had to be kept closed the whole time (sliders were worn). Kitchen was poorly appointed for a large home. No dish/kitchen towels (only paper towels), no cutting board (a nice big wood one was immediately purchased and provided), no serving plates (only one was available. Fortunately we brought holiday themed serving dishes and were able to cover up for what it lacked) and no serving spoons (I suppose this kitchen assumed everyone does take out). These are basics that should be in a rental home. Upon arrival, we discovered two of the lounge chairs were ripped. Two new ones were immediately provided but quality was not as nice as the broken ones. Overall: We made the most of what we had under the circumstances and tried to enjoy our family holiday. However, it was not ideal. No one should have to deal with service/repairs on the very limited time there was for us to have a good time. Dealing with repairs literally interrupted our family dinner. It was not fun. 1. Provide detailed instructions to operate the following: lights, pool, stove, BBQ grill, fireplace (only instructions provided were for TV) 2. Management should do advance inspections/walkthroughs for "week of" HOLIDAY rentals since rates are at a premium. To be told there was a non-working oven was unacceptable. Many of the issues that happened could have been handled accordingly if someone came a day before and tested everything out. At the point we found out about it, it was too late. Also, it was inconvenient to waste our vacation dealing with the service/repair person. Not the best way to start our holiday. 3. Other "minor" suggestions: Pool towels would be nice. There were adequate towels but having a designated set of pool towels would have been better. Add a third bathroom off the hall where the 4th bedroom is. Would make the property much more ideal. "

Wonderful Home in Palm Springs

"Definintely visit the Palm Springs Tramway. This house was perfect for us. Fantastic heated pool, excellent wireless connection (better than at most hotels), huge kitchen and bedrooms, pet friendly, perfectly maintained. Can't wait to return! "
