This fully refurbished 1960 Wexler home is a perfect example of the modern architecture that made Palm Springs famous. Located in the El Rancho Vista neighborhood, Poolside Modern Wexler seamlessly blends classic Palm Springs style with all of the modern conveniences of today.

A clean, minimalist design carries throughout the home, with sleek modern lines and bursts of color throughout. The main living space features a 50" TV/DVD with DirecTV service and built in stereo system.

A comfortable low-slung couch and space-age swivel chair invite you to relax in style over cocktails or curl up for a cozy movie night. Original artwork and a retro shag rug tie the room together with a simple and elegant feel.

The kitchen and dining room are just off to the other side of the entryway. The kitchen features all new stainless steel appliances and is well-stocked with all of the necessary cookware and utensils to prepare a gourmet meal for your family and friends. There are plastic dishes and cups for poolside use as well. The brand new high-gloss cobalt cabinetry offers a modern edge to a simple and efficient kitchen layout.

The adjacent dining room has a longboard-style table with seating for six. The sliding glass door leads to a quiet breezeway patio with additional bistro sets, which makes a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and newspaper. The gas barbecue is just outside on the dining room patio as well, making indoor and outdoor cooking a cinch.

This open floorplan extends to the bonus room, an ideal place to lounge and read a good book while the abundant Palm Springs sunshine streams in the sliding glass door. In fact, almost every room in this Wexler has access to the outdoors via a sliding glass door, which in turn brings the outdoors in and imparts a warm, sunny vibe throughout.

The master suite on the east wing of this Palm Springs midcentury home features a plush queen-sized bed, as well as a 32" TV. The backyard is easily accessible through the sliding glass door, with a beautiful view of the pool. The attached bathroom is accented with colorful tile work and modern glass countertop.

A door leads to the pool area, making it convenient to rinse off in the shower after swimming or sunbathing. The guest bedroom is on the opposite wing of the home, offering privacy and comfort in a cushy queen sized bed. The slider helps bring the natural light inside, and both bedrooms are equipped with iPod docking stations.

The back garden of this home is neatly manicured and promotes a casual sophistication with its sparkling pool and spa and gathering spaces. The lush green lawn extends around the pool and spa area, with scattered lounging and dining areas.

I'd Rent This Modern Wexler Again

"clean. good beds. nice and very private back yard with pool, spa and gas fire pit. functional layout. less expensive, yet providing a better experience than some of our previous rentals. only critique: gene autry can be a little loud for those that are sensitive and reading room couch (5th bed) is not currently comfortable. Our suggestions: replace couch in reading room. consider creating some sort of work space there. also repair bathroom door knobs. we had prompt response and repair of pool heating issue. "

Private and Pleasant

"We loved how private the home was.The backyard was our favorite place to be. The house was beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We absolutely loved the location of this property, and it is right next to the airport. Our little ones loved watching the airplanes take off and fly. We would have felt much more comfortable if the pool had a bit shallower shallow end for the toddlers. That being said, it just gave us the excuse to have to hop in with them! :) Sergio booked our reservation for us. He was very cordial, and helped us with a special request. There were a couple small things that came up during our stay, and Eric was there to help. Very kind and helpful! Professional. Pleasant. Pleasing.Thank you. "

Perfect Vacation Rental!

"Nothing to complain about here. The house is a beautiful mid-century modern in a very nice quiet neighborhood. It's well appointed and comfortable with all we needed for a few relaxing days away with our dogs. The backyard was perfect. We have 2 miniature dachshunds and the yard was completely walled in so we didn't have to worry about them escaping. The spa was fantastic, we spent quite a bit of time lounging there. And the fire pit was very convenient to use and great to relax around in the evening. The TV and stereo setup is great and worked perfectly. We mainly used it to plug in our ipod/ipads to listen to our own music, but also used the DirectTV music channels some too. The wireless internet works perfectly, but it is a slow connection. Well less than 1M any time I checked via speedtest.net ... perfectly fine for casual vacation use ... but if you need anything more serious you'd need to bring your own. We loved this place and hope to come back again soon! We only had a couple things and they aren't really complaints. The internet connection was very slow. The wireless connection worked great, no issues there ... it's just very very slow. Fine for casual vacation use. But if we would have had to do any work while there it would have been a problem. But for the future we will know to be sure and bring our own wireless access if we need it. And we did not have any luck getting the pool heated enough to swim much. I did get in one afternoon but it was a little chilly. But that could have just been because of the relatively cool Palm Springs temps the week we were there. On the other hand, the hot tub was perfect! Incredibly smooth and easy rental experience. The fact that we had no need to even contact anyone says a lot! Loved being able to browse the rental properties on your website and read reviews then book and do everything online and via email. Simple, easy, and very efficient. All the instructions ---from booking and signing contracts, to directions to the property and how to get in the house, to documentation in the house about how to use everything and what to do upon checkout --- it was all concise and clear and easy to follow. Great job! "

Modern Wexler - Beautiful Inside and out

"The house was light and airy, with minimalist colouful accents in furnishings and art in every room. Each room also had a gorgeous view to a patio,mountains or the pool.Everthing was included, that one could possibly need,in the way of equipment. We had a litte difficulty with the T.V./Sterio but management was there to help within minutes. A trully beautiful modern home, furnished appropriarely and aesthetially pleasing in every way. Need better instrutions re T.V. ...?( Thank you for bringing this to our attention; we will request DirectTV instructions for the home) Travis was gentleman who came to help with T.V. - he was great "

Mid Century Gem

"The house was perfect for our family of 5. We loved the layout and the mid century furnishings. We loved that we could bring along the family dog. The area is a bit prone to wind, and we had some strong wind one day, but I don't think any part of Palm Springs was spared during this storm. Spacious backyard. The pool is small, but for our younger children it was fine. Teens might have an issue with it. The TV set up was a bit complex, but with a bit of rereading of the instructions we were able to figure it out. "
