Weekend in Palm Springs

"It would be helpful to have instructions for the outdoor gas grill. The kitchen could use a little updating. The home fit three families with kids very nicely. We enjoyed the openness of the home with the ability to have a full view of the pool from inside. I would definitely recommend Vacation Palm Springs. We'll certainly use you guys again! Justin was great and efficient to work with in finalizing our reservations. We had a little trouble with the TV in the living room and Scott, the property manager, came right out to resolve. "

Best Location and Peaceful, Safe Neighborhood!

"Our only suggestions would be to look at the dish washer and perhaps replace or do a thorough cleaning of it (inside and outside). Some of the dishes still had crystals of soap on them in the cupboard - nothing that a quick washing didn't correct but probably should address this before it gets worse. Also, the tap in the shower was difficult to turn off and the water dripped so a bit of plumbing upgrade would be good. There were 10 of us (4 couples and 2 singles) and it was very spacious and roomy for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the common living area was a great place to gather. The kitchen and dining area was perfect for our needs. The pool and back yard was also lovely and we enjoyed the hot tub under the stars at night. So relaxing and convenient to be withing walking distance of stores, hiking area, and downtown. It was central to all our golfing and shopping - also close to the airport. The only negative was that this is an older house that in some ways showed it's age (ie. the plumbing fixtures could be upgraded and the dishwasher needed some cleaning and servicing). The laundry room could be upgraded but it was very serviceable and not a problem. Otherwise, everything was fine. Everything was looked after before our arrival. We had read some negative comments about lack of towels and it was addressed when we arrived - there were lots of out-door pool and in-door towels for all of us. We had an earthquake while we were there and there was some wind - the pool man came and cleaned it all up the very next day - we called but not need as he was already scheduled to arrive. We made one call to get more propane for the bar-b-que and it was addressed the very next morning so everything was great and we were very happy with the service. "

Unhappy Compared to Previous Stays

"Not good. problems with televisions and connections, water leaks, lack of hot water, inadequate kitchen ware, cold in the home and not allowed to utilize heatin as it was set and locked. detailed note left in the home. we'd come again to vacation palm springs, but not summerly way home. Suggestions: needs modern furninshing, towels, linens, kitchen utensils and televisions. easier use of televisions and make sure cables and boxes are workign properly and in each room, more cords in living room so as to not have to connect and disconnect each time a new device is necessary (dvd, wii) "
